Cleaning Staff (Part-Time)

Working Hours: 
Monday to Friday 
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (4 hours per day) 
Total Hours: 20 hours per week 


Job Purpose:
 
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the premises by carrying out a range of routine and ad hoc cleaning duties. This position is critical to ensuring the premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness each evening. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Clean, dust, and sanitize surfaces including desks, counters, and communal touchpoints.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout designated areas.
• Empty bins and replace liners.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and washroom areas.
• Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
• Clean kitchenettes and staff break areas.
• Follow specific cleaning schedules for deeper cleaning tasks (e.g., windows, skirting boards).
• Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor or site manager.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and site-specific requirements.

Person Specification: 
Essential: 

• Previous cleaning experience in commercial, office, or public buildings.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Good timekeeping and reliability.
• Attention to detail and high standards of hygiene.

Desirable: 

• Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
• Basic English communication skills for understanding instructions and signage.

 
Additional Information: 

• This role involves working independently after regular business hours.
• Cleaning supplies and storage areas will be provided on site.
• The successful candidate may be subject to background checks if required by the client or location.
